What is a story map?+

A story map is an interactive, GPS-powered digital map that reveals stories, history, and points of interest as guests physically explore the grounds of an estate, hotel, or garden. Unlike a static paper map, a story map uses the guest's location to trigger rich content including photos, written narratives, and audio at exactly the right moment.

Do guests need to download an app?+

No. Bramble story maps open instantly in any mobile browser. Guests simply scan a QR code at reception, tap a link, or find it via the guest WiFi portal. There is nothing to install and nothing to learn.

How does GPS content triggering work?+

When a guest opens the story map on their phone, the map uses their device's GPS to show their location with a blue dot. As they walk towards a point of interest, the story for that location becomes available. They tap a marker and the story unfolds with photos, text, and optional audio narration.

What types of properties use Bramble?+

Bramble is designed for country estates and hotels, historic gardens and houses, vineyards and farm estates . Any property where the grounds are part of the guest experience and there are stories worth discovering.

Can the map be updated seasonally?+

Yes. Your grounds change through the year and so can your map. You can swap in spring wildflower routes, autumn colour walks, or winter wildlife trails. Content can be updated at any time without guests needing to do anything differently.
